The launch event featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the partnership. The MOU was signed by Mr. Calvert Choo, CMO of TOGL Technology Sdn Bhd, Mr. Terry Swee, General Manager of RedPay and Mr. Norhizam Abdul Kadir, Executive Director of KiplePay Sdn Bhd. Witnessing the signing were Mr.CK Chia , CMO of Eostre Berhad, Mr. Karl Khoo, CEO of 9R Limited and Mr. Billy Lee Beng Ong, General Manager of Product & Analytics at KiplePay Sdn Bhd.

Strategic Collaboration for Financial Innovation

This new Visa card signifies a strategic collaboration among three industry leaders:

  1. RewardsLink: Integrates its robust loyalty program to offer attractive rebates and offsets, enhancing the user experience with seamless reward points offset at over 1.2 million merchants worldwide.
  2. RedPay: As the first e-wallet platform in Malaysia to collaborate with RewardsLink, RedPay integrates with KiplePay to offer smooth transactional experiences. It leverages the RewardsLink loyalty program, sharing points between both platforms for the benefit of RedPay users.
  3. KiplePay: A comprehensive e-wallet technology provider, KiplePay offers a secure and seamless platform for the Visa card.

A New Financial Ecosystem

The launch of the RewardsLink X RedPay Visa Card aims to create one of the first fintech-integrated points ecosystems, merging RewardsLink’s reward points with social engagement features.

  1. Global Spending Convenience: RedPay users can seamlessly spend at global Visa merchants, whether swiping or tapping to pay. They can offset reward points at over 120 million merchants locally and worldwide, making global travel and point offset easier than ever.

Innovative Points Redemption: This Visa card is the world’s first financial card that allows users to directly offset 10% of their bill with points while swiping the card, providing unprecedented convenience and value. For instance, 10 points equate to RM 5, enabling a RM 50 purchase to be reduced to RM 45 at Visa merchant .
  3. E-Wallet and Withdrawal Convenience: RedPay facilitates linking multiple bank cards, simplifying top-ups and withdrawals. The Visa card supports direct linkage with e-wallets, enabling global ATM withdrawals and addressing currency exchange challenges.
